Living in Kihei

If you love living in a warm tropical climate, Kihei might be for you. Imagine waking up in the morning to the call of the birds. They are a riot of sound that is a treat to wake up to.

Begin your morning on the lanai watching the amazing sunrises that light up the sky with reds and oranges as the sun pops over the top of Mt. Haleakala (House of the Sun). Haleakala is frequently wreathed in clouds in the morning that burn off after the sun is up. As it’s rising over Haleakala the sun lights up the clouds in a myriad of hues

You’ll find yourself a short walk to the beach, 301 yards to be exact. The beach, Kamaole II, is one of the best swimming beaches in the islands.  The surf is mild enough and the water is shallow enough that even small children can play in it. As a matter of fact, it’s the first beach that my wife was willing to go into the ocean. It’s also great for walking and sun bathing.
